Test One: The Prototype

Four nations. One chaotic experiment. The game that proved it could (mostly) work.

28 August 2020 - c. September 2020

Test Game One marked the chaotic birth of Campaign for the Entire God Damn World and laid the foundation for what would ultimately become Global Nexus as we know it today. The game itself was not hugely planned, with the process to organise and teach the four players the very basic rules taking less than a week. Once the game began, it rapidly spiralled into a messy, brilliant sandbox of diplomacy, war, and largely improvised mechanics. Although the systems barely held together, the sheer energy and potential of the game were undeniable, and this prototype proved that this was something worth continuing.
